I turned 21 yesterday. To be honest, I was already ecstatic about it since July came. I'm not exactly sure but there is something unnaturally thrilling about knowing you can finally enter the casino legally or get married without your parents' consent (I'll pass this year, but still.) It's official, I am in my early 20s! Here's a run-through of how my 21st birthday went.
My family took me out on a spa birthday celebration the night before. We always keep it simple on our birthdays, and sometimes that's how I want it to be.
And look who got flowers! I knew he was up to something, I just didn't know it would be walking in on me all sweaty while playing Dance Central-- bouquet in hand, chocolates in the other, asking me out on a date. It's my first birthday as his girlfriend. Conventional, but classic.
And just when I thought my day was over, we went on a spontaneous trip to QC at an ungodly hour for this. For the love of everything oreo / cookies and cream! My second family just never fails to make me love them even more. Yes, I would love to have the Tanigs as my in-laws, please!
Thank you to everyone who greeted me, and to those who made my day special.
