Apart from the part-time job at my parents’, which is
actually a bit inappropriate to call a “job” having no salary, and the rare and
sporadic (real) job interviews, I found a way to enjoy this college-life-to-working-life-interval.
Disclaimer: I do NOT have a thing for celebrities. I was
built to think that they are just normal people living a rather more
ostentatious and public life. So I’ve always thought that taking pictures and
screeching like a hyena when you see one are too demeaning. But whatever it is
that fan girls have, I caught it, badly.
Actually, I do have a thing for athletes now. AND I DO TAKE PICTURES AND
SCREECH LIKE A HYENA FOR JERON TENG.
It still surprises me just as much as it surprised everyone.
The other day was only my second time to watch this season (and the
third in this lifetime), but I was just so ecstatic to have Jeron within actual
reach!!!
Ironically, I was so close and I didn’t get the chance to
take decent pictures of him/ WITH him. Though I behaved, I still feel sorry for
my good friend Philip for tolerating my mortifying obsession. Fortunately, DLSU won a
ticket to a few more games by winning this one. Despite my growing enthusiasm,
I can’t help but be a bit dramatic over how things come too little too late for
me. The scenario is, I’m 20 and I have a crush on an 18-year old who just
entered La Salle as I was graduating. What’s worse is I sit in the frontmost
row of the patron section hoping to get even just a fleeting glimpse from the
dreamy boy because everytime he flashes that smile in court I die a little
inside. OMG. RIGHT. FANGIRLING TO THE HEAVENS. I feel like I’m reliving the
high school days of someone else. (Remembering all those girls in high school
venerating Chris Tiu during his prime)
Nevertheless, this makes my idle time feel so worthwhile.
