Now Mother Nature's revenge is much more than just a papercut.
Whilst I am in the safety of our home in this blessed subdivision that never gets flooded, I cringe at the sight of other city parts being submerged. It's horrid. Especially for the children watching their homes sink under the emerging flood water. But come to think of it, we can do more than send prayers. God listens, but we are the ones who brought this on ourselves. Deep wells siphoning off water from the ground causing the Earth to press itself lower, cutting down trees and not planting enough, excessive and improper garbage disposal-- we are all responsible. I'd wager that if this gets worse, more establishments and cities will discourage the use of plastic bags. It's sad that something like this has to happen before people encourage eco-friendliness. Truly, nature has its ways.
